Risk Factors

Precancer is a stage where there are increased chances of developing cancer in that area. Precancer is a stage before cancer .Not necessarily all cases will turn into cancer, but one cannot be sure which cases will turn into cancer in the long term. Cancer on the other hand is uncontrolled growth of cells in the body more often in a particular area. 

Tobacco, betel nut, alcohol produces “free radicals” in the body i.e. atoms with unpaired electrons. These are neutralized by ‘Antioxidants” which are derived from food. . In cases where free radicals are not neutralized by antioxidants, they damage cells and cause cancer.
