Smile Makeover

A great smile has the power to change your life.

But it can only do so if it is in alignment and harmony with your personality.

A Smile Makeover is a procedure to enhance your smile. In the old concept, it was done with a standard template, considering the standard shapes and sizes of teeth. The biggest disadvantage of this was that it might not suit your personality.

Root canal treatment can be completed in one or two appointments, but if the infection is very severe, it might require an additional two to three appointments. Patient cooperation is essential for the early completion of the root canal treatment.

Permanent teeth start developing at birth, just below the deciduous teeth. If cavities in deciduous teeth are not treated promptly, they can affect the permanent teeth in two ways:

Firstly, untreated cavities can become deeper and transmit the infection to the underlying permanent tooth. This infection from the milk tooth can change the size, shape, color, texture, and time of eruption of a permanent tooth.

Secondly, untreated cavities can lead to the early loss of deciduous teeth. The timing of milk tooth loss is important because they protect the space for the permanent tooth until it is ready to appear in the mouth. That is why all milk teeth do not fall at the same time; they fall at regular intervals. If cavities in milk teeth are left untreated, the teeth fall off early. Once they fall off, the spaces between the milk teeth are closed by the neighboring teeth. This closed space leads to abnormal positioning of the permanent teeth, resulting in crooked and malpositioned permanent teeth. This not only affects the appearance of the child but can also cause problems in speech and facial growth.

These milk teeth preserve the space for the permanent teeth. If there is a gap between the milk teeth, it is a good sign; this gap will eventually be utilized by the permanent teeth because they are larger in size. So, do not worry if there is a gap between the milk teeth.
